Imgur is updating its TOS, taking effect from May 15. Emphasis mine:

We will be focused on removing old, unused, and inactive content that is not tied to a user account from our platform as well as nudity, pornography, & sexually explicit content. You will need to download/save any images that you wish to save if they no longer adhere to these Terms. Most notably, this would include explicit/pornographic content.

If you have hosted your icons on Imgur, please check these are under your account, and if they're not, reupload them while logged in and use the new links to ensure your icon posts still work.

Going forward, ensure you're logged in when you upload icons onto Imgur.

Please put the full name of the character in the character fields. For Eastern names, family name first, given name second is preferred, though if anyone messes that up, don't worry too much about it, I will check to make sure I'm not duplicating entries.

Indexing the characters is a fairly manageable task and is creating a comm that allows RPers to find icons by character. Indexing the characters when I have to google every single one of them in a post by first name to try to find the full name is not manageable and a little unreasonable to expect of a comm that is as organized as this. I feel it's reasonable to ask posters to take a second to put the last name of characters on their posts, especially since doing otherwise might mean I google and accidentally use the wrong name.

A note asking for the full names of the characters is already in the rules and has been so I'm going to take this a step more draconian because unfortunately I've had recurring issues with people not follow the rules and posting format. I've changed the rules to make all the requirements and consequences for not following them more clear.

Please request a new fandom tag in the stickypost if you're the first to post to a new fandom.

I have had some some people posting to the comm for a new fandom without making a request for a new fandom tag (and a few have made it clear they saw there was no tag and that they just sort of threw up their hands). The Posting Guide makes it clear that requesting a fandom tag if you're the first to post to that fandom is required. The reason I'm doing it that way is that I want people to request it so that if I'm unfamiliar with the canon, I can talk to the person to make a tag name that will best cover the different things within that canon.

So far I've contacted the people who've done it and added the new tags since the comm is new but in the future, I will just be leaving the posts untagged and unindexed in the memories (effectively making them impossible to find by anyone looking). I won't be deleting them in case people just forgot and ask for a tag later (in which case I'll follow up go index the characters in the memories) but I will make them impossible to find if a tag isn't requested.

This new process will be added in the rules.
